We Celebrate the Lord's Supper - Communion

Communion is a celebration and a commemoration of the Passover Meal in which Jesus took unleavened bread, and after He had given thanks for it said, "This bread represents My body broken for you. Do this in remembrence of Me." And in the same way, Jesus took the third cup, the Cup of Redemption, and told His followers, "This cup represents a new covenant being made in my blood shed for you. Do this in remembrence of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim my death until I come again." Even so Lord Jesus...Come!

  • Isaiah 53:5: "But he [Messiah] was wounded because of our sins, crushed because of our iniquities. He bore the chastisement that made us whole, and by his bruises we were healed."

  • Ephesians 1:7: "In him [Yeshua/Jesus] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace."

  • Colossians 1:19-20: "For God was pleased to have all his fulness dwell in him [Yeshua/Jesus], and through him, to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

  • Hebrews 9:14: "How much more, then, will the blood of Christ {Messiah], who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"

Lustre MB Church practices "Open Communion" which means that if you are a true follower of Jesus the Messiah, then you are most welcome to take the bread and the cup with us.
